Sydney Children's Festival

Sydney Children's Festival is on for another week. We went today because it was the literary festival and we combined markets, some circus and a show.

Yet another hugely entertaining show by Erth for the whole family.

An introduction to indigenous animals, with stories that have been passed down in communities for hundreds of years.

I, Bunyip is an opportunity for the kids to meet characters both cute and scarey from Australia’s oldest stories.

Puppets that bring these creatures to life.

At Sydney Children's Festival @ Carriageworks
Until 8 October
For 5 years +

Also a very interesting talk by four authors, who have inspired our girls to write.

Fun photos from the Daily Telegraph.

Mango Balloon

A busy week running from gig to gig, from Salvation Street Shout to Ilan Kidron and then to Mango Ballon, Mutiny and more.

Judging for the Sydney Fringe, so I am getting to see lots of music.

Plus my gigs are on at Cockatoo island this week, with the Song Company performing modart. www.cockatoocalling.com.au

Namatjira

A great play, worth catching, hopefully it will tour somewhere near you. It has one more night at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and I have heard on the grapevine will tour again next year. Big Hart has a great website with info http://www.namatjira.bighart.org/
