Martenitsa Choir and Mara

This was an uplifting experience. The 20^th Anniversary Concerts featured both Martenitsa and Mara!

They featured Bulgarian soloist Silvia Entcheva and the Mara! Ensemble. If you missed them they were recorded by ABC Radio National' for broadcast on Music Deli later in the year.

If you get a chance this will really be worth hearing.

Well it was a bleak little piece, well done, but a bit close to home for me at the moment with my aging parents.

Would have liked some sign of redemption, but I am thinking euthanasia is looking good if these are my alternateives.

Gwilym Simcock and Martha Wainwright

Beautiful solo piano by Gwilym.

Then a mad dash to catch Martha Wainwright, which to be honest I shouldn't have done. She did the music of Piaf, quite well, but nothing outstanding.
